Offer Description
We are seeking to recruit a PhD researcher to develop the 3D Printing All-Solid State Batteries for the Internet of Things Applications project of the WINE group of the UOC's Digital Transformation, AI and Technology Research Unit.
The mission of this role will be to develop a new generation of 3D batteries and integrate them into embedded devices for industrial environments.
Responsibilities
- Coordination of the final transfer of the project to participating companies.
- Publication of the article ‘Wireless communication technologies for industrial control systems’.
- Dissemination of project results.
- Evaluation and proposals of ways of evolution.
The successful candidate will be awarded a temporary full-time contract lasting 2 months, until 31st October 2025. The scheduled start date is 1st September 2025.
For work on site, the principal location will be the UOC Campus, at Rambla del Poblenou 154-156, Barcelona. At the UOC, we work with an open working model that combines remote working with work on-site, according to organizational needs and the nature of the tasks involved.

- Degree in Telecommunications Engineering.
- Minimum Experience of 5 years performing tasks similar to those of the offer.
- Technical knowledge about RF signal propagation, KPWAN communication systems and protocols and industrial automatic control.
- Knowledge of decentralised infrastructures and network resource optimisation algorithms and methods.
- Knowledge of satellite communication networks.
- High level of English and Spanish.
