Offer Description
Fully granted PhD position in frame of the EIC Pathfinder project Functionalised Activated Sapphire Thin-disk (FAST, https://cordis.europa.eu/project/id/101257260). The successful candidate's task will be to design and perform multi-scale simulation of pulsed laser deposition (PLD) growth of sapphire doped by rare earth elements to provide a link between growth parameters and film properties, crucial for their lasing application.
Workplace: Charles University, Czech Republic, Prague
Requirements:
The ideal candidate should have experience with topics relevant to the project, i.e., at least basic experience with kinetic Monte Carlo simulations, developing and optimizing own codes, data analysis.
